Originally from Italy, I pursued my studies at London Metropolitan University, where my journey began with an initial focus on design. However, as I explored various creative fields, I discovered that my true passion lay in art, particularly in the tactile and sculptural realms. My artistic evolution has been deeply influenced by my travels, where exposure to diverse landscapes and cultures has shaped my vision. Over time, I moved away from traditional design concepts to develop a practice that reflects my connection to nature and the memories it evokes. Today, my work is a harmonious blend of traditional techniques and modern artistry, rooted in both my Italian heritage and my experiences abroad.

WORK DESCRIPTION

My work is deeply inspired by the natural world and the memories evoked by my travels. Drawing from the organic forms and textures found in nature, I create art that blends traditional textile techniques with contemporary sculptural practices. The idea of a "floating garden" is central to my work, where I aim to capture the essence of nature suspended in time and space.

Utilizing materials like marbling and flocking, I evoke the rich textures of woods and the softness of moss, transforming these natural elements into intricate, three-dimensional compositions. These pieces are designed to be suspended creating the illusion of a garden that floats within an interior space, interacting dynamically with light and its surroundings. By hanging the work, I aim to create an immersive experience that transports the viewer to a serene, natural landscape.

This approach reflects a return to roots, inspired by my appreciation for beautifully crafted furniture like that of Calligaris, where the idea of simplicity and connection to nature is paramount. Through my work, I strive to merge the natural world with contemporary design, offering a unique perspective that transforms interior spaces into tranquil, artistic environments. My installations serve as a bridge between the organic and the constructed, inviting viewers to experience art as a living, breathing entity within their everyday surroundings.
